Wood Festival

2012

A multi-purpose folly, built by Max Rink, Rachel Griffin and Simon de Jong during a 4-day competition in Bergen, Norway. A monument to Bergen's venerable history of city fires, the exterior of the structure uses the protective qualities of burnt wood, while the interior consists of moveable platforms that can be used for eating, working and socializing, as well as moving vertically through the space.
